The Alliance Group of Companies, a major UK shipping company, has seen exponential growth since its incorporation by GS Waller in (East) London in 1975. This sustained growth has been achieved through careful expansion and the recruitment of a cross section of highly skilled staff. In 2014, as part of their controlled expansion plan, the company relocated from Alvechurch to new, freehold offices in Redditch. The move also coincides with their 40th year of operation celebrated in 2015. The Alliance Group is one of the most well established, medium-sized companies with the Group boasting a 2014 sales revenue in excess of US$30 million. This level of turnover was achieved by controlled and sustained, organised growth and the careful procurement of both services and products.
The client appointed The Redditch Partitions & Storage Co. Ltd. because of their reputation for supplying innovate office partitioning and being able to provide a turnkey solution within the client’s budgetary constraints.
The office fit-out comprised:
Creation of an office and meeting room with an external elevation of full height double glazed aluminium framed composite partitioning with integral 25mm venetian blinds complete with control knobs to adjust the angle of the blinds. The dividing wall was of a stud and plasterboard construction with taped, jointed and sanded joints to provide a smooth, flush finish that can be used for projector presentations.
Construction of a refreshment preparation and rest area by means of a metal stud partition with half-height glazed panels. The interior is furnished with cabinets, worktops and a sink unit with water and waste pipes.
To complete the transformation, vertical fabric blinds were added to external windows.
